Method

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on a wire rack.
Frosting and Assembly
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, alternating with milk, until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate and spread frosting on top.
  4. Place the second layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake.
  5. Use the green fondant to create the tractor body, black for the wheels, and red for the details.
  6. Decorate the cake with fondant pieces to resemble a tractor.
