Ingredients
  

Tuna Salad
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise adjust to taste
  • 1 stalk celery finely chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • ½ teaspoon salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices bread your choice
  • 1 leaf lettuce for serving
  • 2 slices tomato optional, for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Tuna Salad
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped red onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with a fork until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Lay out the slices of bread on a clean surface.
  2. Spread a generous amount of the tuna salad mixture onto two slices of bread.
  3. Top with lettuce and tomato slices if desired, then place the other slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.
Serve
  1. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately on a plate.
