Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast sliced thinly
Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves fresh
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
Aromatics
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced
  • 2 teaspoons red chili sliced
Oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare all ingredients by slicing the chicken, vegetables, and mincing the garlic and ginger.
Cooking
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the garlic, ginger, and red chili, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the bell pepper and onion, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and cornstarch mixture, stirring well to combine.
  6. Finally, add the Thai basil leaves and stir-fry for an additional minute until wilted.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice.
