Ingredients
  

Stuffing
  • 4 medium Bell Peppers Any color
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice White or brown
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with turkey or vegetarian option
  • 1 cup Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Plus extra for topping
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stuffing and Baking
  1. Stuff each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture.
  2. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour additional tomato sauce over the top.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
