Cauliflower Wings
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Sauce
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup sriracha
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the cauliflower into florets, approximately 4 cups.
  2. In a bowl, combine the milk and all-purpose flour to create a batter.
  3. Add garlic powder, cumin, paprika or chili powder, salt, and ground pepper to the batter, mixing well.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
  5. Roll the coated florets in panko breadcrumbs until evenly covered.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully place the cauliflower wings into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, mix honey, sriracha, and ketchup to create the sauce.
  2. Once the wings are cooked, toss them in the sauce until fully coated.
  3. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
