Ingredients
  

Chocolate and Cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate chopped into small pieces
  • ½ cup heavy cream heated until simmering
Coffee and Cocoa
  • 2 tablespoon finely ground coffee beans
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder for rolling
Optional Flavorings
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 1 tablespoon Kahlúa liqueur optional

  • Heatproof bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Melon baller

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it simmers, then pour over the chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes before stirring until smooth.
  3. Mix in the finely ground coffee and any optional flavorings until well combined.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
  5. Once chilled, use a melon baller to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
  6. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until fully coated.
  7. Serve on a platter and enjoy.

Notes
