  • 10 oz tomatillos husked and rinsed
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro stems removed
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 medium jalapeño seeded and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Husk and rinse the tomatillos, then chop the onion, garlic, and jalapeño.
Blend the Salsa
  1. In a blender, combine tomatillos, cilantro, onion, garlic, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth, adjusting seasoning as necessary.
Serve
  1. Transfer the salsa verde to a serving bowl and enjoy with your favorite dishes.

Notes

Salsa verde can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Adjust the heat by adding more or less jalapeño.
