  • ½ cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1-2 tablespoons water to thin the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Stir in red pepper flakes if using for added heat.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more soy sauce or honey to balance flavors.
