Method
Prepare the Ribs
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all dry rub ingredients and mix well.
- Rub the mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
Bake the Ribs
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
- Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Finish with Barbecue Sauce
- Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil.
- Brush barbecue sauce generously over the ribs.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
