Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz crushed canned tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Equipment

  • large pot

Method

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté diced onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef to the pot; cook until browned, breaking it apart as you go. Drain excess fat if needed and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles, stirring gently to ensure they are covered by the sauce. Cook until noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in cream cheese until melted, then add mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
