Ingredients
  

For the Corn Dogs
  • 4 hot dogs or cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Hot Dogs
  1. Insert skewers into each hot dog, leaving enough space for handling.
Make the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk and egg, mixing until smooth.
Coat the Hot Dogs
  1. Dip each hot dog into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  2. Roll the coated hot dog in panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Fry the Corn Dogs
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully place the corn dogs in the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
