Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 lbs pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  2. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the dry rub mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
Smoke the Ribs
  1. Preheat the electric smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Place the ribs in the smoker, bone side down, and smoke for 3 hours.
  3. After 3 hours, wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and return to the smoker for an additional 1 hour.
  4. Unwrap the ribs and brush with BBQ sauce, then smoke for another 30 minutes.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, use wood chips like hickory or applewood for smoking.
