Method
Prepare the Ribs
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- Rub the dry rub mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
Smoke the Ribs
- Preheat the electric smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Place the ribs in the smoker, bone side down, and smoke for 3 hours.
- After 3 hours, wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and return to the smoker for an additional 1 hour.
- Unwrap the ribs and brush with BBQ sauce, then smoke for another 30 minutes.
Serve
- Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
