Ingredients
  

  • 15 ounces strawberry cake mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese diced into cubes
  • 18 ounces pink candy melts
  • 12 ounces vanilla almond bark
  • 1 cup water from the cake mix instructions
  • cup oil from the cake mix instructions
  • 3 large eggs from the cake mix instructions

Method
 

  1. Prepare the strawberry cake according to package directions.
  2. After removing from the oven, allow the cake to cool completely.
  3. Crumble the entire cake into a large mixing bowl.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Add the cream cheese cubes to the cake crumbles.
  6. Mix the cream cheese and cake together until well combined.
  7. Using a 1 ½ inch cookie scoop, scoop out the mixture and roll each into even sized balls.
  8. Place them on the lined baking sheet as you make them.
  9. Place the entire pan in the freezer and chill for 30 minutes.
  10. Place the pink candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at 60% power level.
  11. Stir and repeat for another 30 seconds. Then stir until completely melted.
  12. Dip the cake balls into the melted candies, lift out and let the excess drip off.
  13. Gently tap the side of the bowl and place it back on the parchment paper.
  14. Allow the candy to set for at least 30 minutes.
  15. Place the almond bark in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at 60% power level.
  16. Stir and repeat for another 30 seconds then stir until completely melted.
  17. Add the melted almond bark to a piping bag or a plastic zip closure bag, snip off the corner.
  18. Drizzle the cake balls with the melted vanilla bark in a back and forth motion and let the drizzle set.
