Ingredients
  

Chili
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
Hot Dogs
  • 4 pieces hot dogs beef or turkey
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup green onions sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Chili
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Cook the Hot Dogs
  1. Grill or boil the hot dogs according to package instructions until heated through.
  2. Place hot dogs in buns.
Assemble and Serve
  1. Top each hot dog with a generous amount of chili.
  2. Add shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and sliced green onions as desired.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!
