Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped mixed colors
  • 4 stale burger buns, torn into pieces
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly spray a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey with onions and bell peppers for about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in ketchup and mustard. Add the torn burger buns and stir until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish, topping with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
