Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • ¼ cup bourbon preferably a smooth bourbon
  • ¼ cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets about 6 oz each

Method

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic, ginger, and olive oil until well combined.
Marinate the Salmon
  1. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grill the Salmon
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve
  1. Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
