Ingredients
  

Peanuts
  • 1 pound raw peanuts In-shell
  • ½ cup salt Adjust to taste
  • 8 cups water For boiling

Method
 

Cooking the Peanuts
  1. Rinse the raw peanuts under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. In a large pot, combine the rinsed peanuts, water, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 4 hours, or until the peanuts are tender.
  5. Check occasionally and add more water if necessary to keep the peanuts submerged.
  6. Once cooked, drain the peanuts in a colander and let them cool slightly before serving.
