Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional, for added flavor
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional, for crunch

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix gently to coat the blueberries.
Assemble the Cake
  1. Pour the blueberry mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the blueberries.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
