Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries washed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Topping
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Gently toss to coat the blueberries evenly.
  3. Transfer the blueberry mixture to a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  2. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the blueberries in the baking dish.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
