  • 1 large sheet puff pastry (13 oz, 375 gr)
  • 2 cups milk (475 ml)
  • ½ cup sugar (100 gr)
  • cup corn starch (50 gr)
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • blueberries (for topping)
  • raspberries (for topping)
  • almond slices (for topping)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1 tablespoon milk or egg yolk (for brushing)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven according to puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
  3. Place the pastry pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, and corn starch; heat over medium until thickened, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the custard into the center of each pastry piece.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until the pastry is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then top with blueberries, raspberries, and almond slices.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar and brush with milk or egg yolk before serving.
