Ingredients
  

Hibiscus Base
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers also known as flor de jamaica
  • 4 cups water for steeping
  • ½ cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 cups cold water to dilute

Method
 

Prepare Hibiscus Tea
  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and sugar, then remove from heat.
  3. Let it steep for about 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the flowers.
  5. Add 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well.
  6. Serve chilled over ice.
